Closure of Albert Square

Motorists are advised that Albert Square in Manchester city centre will be closed from Friday 10 July at 6pm until Sunday 12 July at 8pm.
There will be no through access via Albert Square from Peter Street to Princess Street and Cross Street. Diversions will be in place directing traffic on Peter Street through to Deansgate with a right turn on to John Dalton Street for access back onto Princess Street.
Please note the no right turn ban from Deansgate onto John Dalton Street will be suspended during this time.
The closure is necessary for the Great Indoors which is a Manchester International Festival children and families weekend event involving lots of different theatre shows and activities happening in and around the Town Hall and Albert Square.
