Manchester City Council election results 2010

The results of this year’s local elections for Manchester have been announced.

Voters went to the polls on Thursday 6 May to choose one third of the council - 32 of its 96 councillors - and counting took place on Friday 7 May.

Although some of the seats changed hands, the composition of the council remains the same overall:
Labour: 62
Liberal Democrats: 33
Conservative: 1
