Gorton Job Shop bigger and better then ever
18 October 2010
On Tuesday 26 October the Gorton Job Shop is re-launching at Gorton Market in East Manchester with a host of new services.
At a special event from 12-5pm, local residents are invited to come along and have a look at the full range of services on offer to help them with getting a job, benefits and debt advice, training and starting their own business.
Based at the Job Shop will be representatives from various local agencies and projects including Work Solutions, Working Links, Experience Volunteering, Money Mentors, Gingerbread, The Mustard Tree and The Manchester College. New East Manchester's business advisors will also be on hand to offer advice to market traders and visitors.
The Gorton Job Shop at Gorton Market is open daily from 9.30am - 4pm and will have a range of specialist agencies on hand to offer free advice across the week.
Carol Bartram, Head of Economic Development at urban regeneration company New East Manchester, said: "What we're providing here is a one-stop-shop for anyone needing a helping hand in finding a job or change of career. Between us, we have an enormous amount of expertise in assisting people into employment or out of debt and we're here to offer free advice to anyone dropping by. The Job Shop was always very popular and it's great to see it bigger and better then ever before."
This project is funded by the Gorton People Stronger Together project and delivered by urban regeneration company New East Manchester.
