Feast your eyes on Manchester’s latest market

St Ann’s Square is set to become a gourmet’s paradise as Manchester’s Feast Market brings a smorgasbord of culinary delights to the city centre.

Running from 5-16 October, the Feast Market is sure to seduce shoppers with irresistible gastronomic smells and produce guaranteed to delight the taste buds of any food connoisseur.

The market will offer a plethora of traditional British food, showcasing mouth-watering dishes and ingredients from the region's best farmers and producers. The market will host a wide selection of family run businesses providing the perfect opportunity to witness cookery skills that have been passed down from generation to generation. 

Amongst the appetising treats on offer will be local cheeses from Mrs Kirkham's Lancashire Cheese - named producer of the year at the 2009 Manchester Food and Drink Awards, porkpies with unique fillings, scotch eggs, pasties and chutneys from The Crusty Pie Company and wild venison and boar, ostrich, goat, and squirrel from Natural Game.

For those with a sweeter tooth the English Rose Bakery will be producing French macaroons and Airyfairycupcakes will be selling a wide selection of traditional baked goods.

If you have a more exotic pallet Mango Rays will be cooking fresh chicken and mango kormas and Barburrito will be enticing visitors will their trademark Mexican cuisine.

And if all that sounds like it will help you work up a thirst - why not pop into the market bar for a little refreshment. 

Councillor Paul Andrews, Executive Member for Neighbourhood Services, said "Filling St Ann's Square with delicious smells and taste the Feast Market is certain to be an unmissable destination for foodies this autumn. Manchester is well know for its specialist markets and the Feast Market is sure to be incredibly popular."

The Feast Market will be open in St Ann's Square from Wednesday 5 October until Sunday 16 October, 10am until 5.30pm.
