Manchester will show its appreciation for the commitment and hard work of the city’s best sports clubs, coaches, athletes and volunteers at the BT Manchester Sports Awards, on Friday 21 October.
The awards are a celebration of the huge achievements of all Manchester's sports clubs and is a chance to thank all the volunteers who give countless hours to their sports. It is also an opportunity to recognise and celebrate our partnerships with external organisations - who play an important role in putting on sports events and development programmes.

The awards include:

Councillor Mike Amesbury, executive member for culture and leisure, said "Manchester is internationally renowned for being a great sport city and that reputation simply would not exist without those people who put in hours of hard work at the grassroots level coaching others or training hard to become the next elite athletes.
"The BT Manchester Sports Awards give us the chance to celebrate the achievements and contribution made by local teams and individuals who thoroughly deserve our support."
The BT Manchester Sports Awards take place on Friday 21 October, 7-11pm at Manchester Town Hall.
