In the (Arndale) market for love …

The Arndale market is offering a host of Valentine’s Day deals making it the perfect place to pick up a gift for that special person or to buy local fresh ingredients for a romantic meal.

For anybody thinking of cooking something new or exotic stall-holders are on hand to offer a lifetime of experience and expertise. Direct Fisheries and Whales Fish have top tips on how to prepare lobster and oysters while High Street Meat is happy to give advice on how to cook the perfect stake.

Ellamia's Flowers will be selling Valentine's bouquets and can guarantee delivery on all orders taken right up to Monday 13 February.

The market is also home to Hoyson's Diaming Service where shoppers can design engagement or wedding rings. All rings from their window come with free alteration and free insurance valuation.

And in the run up to Valentine's day Piccadilly Gardens will host the Valentine's market. Running from Friday 10 February to Saturday 11 February from 10am 5.30pm the market will feature independent traders and crafts offering the perfect last minute gifts.

Councillor Paul Andrews, executive member for neighbourhood services, said, "If you want to show you care and really impress your significant other this Valentine's Day the Arndale Market is the ideal destination.

"The market is packed with delicious smells, unique gifts and local produce that are sure to inspire anyone looking to make this year extra special."

The Arndale Market is located on High Street, Manchester City Centre and is open Monday to Saturday, 9.30am to 6.30pm and Sunday 11am to 5pm.
