Manchester City Council’s design team, M-four, have won five prestigious awards for their work on the ‘Any Plans Tonight’ campaign for NHS Public Health Manchester.
The awards were: Best Public Sector Advert (gold and silver), Poster Design (gold and silver) and Art Direction (silver).
The Roses Awards, organised by The Drum, celebrate the best in UK design and advertising produced outside London. The Awards were held in Manchester on Thursday 3 May 2012
The campaign ran during the Christmas and New Year period, aimed at a young audience. The creative was targeted at neighbourhoods with high teenage conception rates, promoting local contraceptive and sexual health services for young people
Councillor Glynn Evans, executive member for Adults Health and Wellbeing, said: "This was a good campaign with strong images. We needed to get the message across to young people to help reduce conception rates, particularly during the party season at Christmas and New Year.
"The messages and bold images hit the right spot and it is a credit to M-four and Communications that their hard work has been recognised nationally. We know that it worked, as local health services reported an increase in enquiries and visits after the campaign was launched."
And it didn't stop there either. The M-four team also went on to win Best Annual Report Design (silver) for the Joint Health Unit's 'Keeping the spotlight on older people'.
