North Manchester Consultation
Have Your Say on the Future of North Manchester
Manchester City Council is reviewing its plans for the ongoing transformation of North Manchester and we need your views to help shape the future of the area.
In 2003 we published the North Manchester Strategic Regeneration Framework (SRF). This framework identified the key strengths and opportunities of the area along with the main challenges and priorities for improvement. It then set out a 10-15 year plan to guide investment with a vision of creating successful "Sustainable Communities" where people want to live, close to the City Centre.
We are now eight years into the original plan. Much has been achieved and should be celebrated, but there is much more to do, and to do in a very difficult climate. We would like you to tell us if we have identified the right priorities and opportunities for the following 10 to 15 years.
Please read the Consultation Summary for further information. We would like to hear your thoughts so please send us your comments before the 19 April 2012 deadline.

Collyhurst and Irk Valley consultation
We are also exploring the regeneration of the Collyhurst and Irk Valley area which is a key priority for Manchester City Council. With its distinctive location as a gateway to North Manchester and the City Centre, the area of presents a unique and exciting regeneration opportunity for the region.
Through working with local residents, landowners, businesses and other partners, the Council wants to revitalise this part of the city.
