Search by application reference, address,  or postcode. You can also look at applications by week or month.

Comment

You may comment on most applications that have a status of "Under Consultation" or "Under Consideration". Pick the application you're interested in, and then choose the 'Comments' tab. Our guide to commenting on planning applications may help you decide what you wish to say. This page also includes details of how to participate in meetings of the Planning Committee, who make the decisions on some applications.

Track progress

You can track the progress of an application, including information such as committee dates. You can also set up a Planning account to follow the progress of an application automatically or receive notifications of new applications. (This not the same as your main customer account).

Planning applications

The planning register displays the textual records for all planning applications within the City of Manchester since 1974. This information includes a full description of the proposal, the type and status of the application and important dates such as the date of validation and the date of decision.

A copy of the decision for all applications is available through the Files tab. For applications determined before 1 October 2005, this will be a Register Entry, which reproduces all the content of the original notice. For applications made since 1st October 2005, the associated documents, such as the application form, plans and decision notice are available to view.

Planning appeals

The planning register provides details of all appeals lodged since May 2003. The information available includes important dates during the appeal process and the information also includes a link to the relevant planning application or enforcement notice for the particular appeal.

Enforcement action

Information on enforcement and other notices that have been issued. The information includes details of the nature of the notice and a copy of the notice is available to view online.
