Join Manchester Public Libraries

library card (image)Membership is free and open to anyone who resides in the UK.

Pick up an application form at any library. Staff are on hand to help you fill in the form if you prefer. A library ticket will be made out for you which you can use straight away to borrow books. If you would like to borrow talking books, CDs, Videos, DVDs or PS2 games, you will need to provide one form of proof of your name and address eg. a recent utility bill. You will also receive a copy of our Customer Charter welcoming you to the library.

If you are under 16 you can join the library by yourself - there is no need to get a parent/carers signature. We will send your parent/carer a letter to tell them about the services you are entitled to.

Are you visiting Manchester from outside the UK and want to use our computer services? Talk to our staff and they will enrol you on a guest ticket.
