Dog faeces that is not cleaned up is unpleasant and can be a health risk.  To ensure that you help keep your neighbourhood in a clean and healthy state, it is important to make sure that you clean up after your dog.  Full details about dog fouling can be found in our Guidance on Dog Control Orders section.

Dog Services offer "Poop Bags" to Manchester residents, which will allow you to pick up the faeces after your dog has fouled.  If you provide your name and address details, a number of bags will be posted to you.

Manchester City Council can only make this offer available to households within the Manchester Wards.

If you live outside of the Manchester City Council Wards, then please contact your local council for further information on the services they offer.  If you live within the Greater Manchester area, you will be able to find details of your local council on the Association of Greater Manchester Authorities (AGMA) Internet Site.
