Making Manchester cleaner and greener matters to most Mancunians. It was near the top of the list when we asked you what Manchester's future should look like.
Clean and green neighbourhoods make our city attractive. They help us feel better and safer where we live, work, study and visit.
Doing our bit
We will spend an extra £15million over the next three years to help make Manchester cleaner and greener.
This funding will be spread fairly around each neighbourhood and we’re investing it on the things you have told us you care about:
- New litter bins
- Fixing or replacing older play area equipment
- Improving access within our parks with new paths
- Fitting benches
- Supporting safe active travel to schools
Working together
We're learning from those already involved with making Manchester greener. As they share the work they're doing, we're learning more about how we can do better.
So, if you can, volunteer, start a group, apply for neighbourhood investment funding and we’ll support you. See how you can help.
Businesses can help make Manchester cleaner and greener too. Find out more about Keep Manchester Tidy.
