Have your say on a draft updated Strategic Regeneration Framework (SRF) for East Village Central.
In September 2023, the Executive approved an SRF for East Village Central.
This update responds to recent development in the area. It sets out the opportunity for the former Diecasting Foundry part of the site.
The vision is to create:
- A unique, lively and green neighbourhood in the city centre.
- A mix of uses, including residential, commercial, and leisure space.
- Homes, jobs and amenities.
- A stronger community and a place for everyone.
- A unique style inspired by the past. To reuse and repurpose materials in a sustainable way.
Other key aims of the draft SRF update are to:
- Promote an inclusive area for our diverse communities of residents, workers and visitors.
- Make it easier to move around and link nearby streets and communities.
- Provide high quality accessible open spaces.
