Bellot Street, Brideoak Street, Cheetham Hill Road and Heywood Street

The Council of the City of Manchester in exercise of its power under Section 129A (1) of the Highways Act 1980 ("the Act") and of all other enabling powers being satisfied that the conditions set out in Section 129A (3) of the Act have been met hereby makes the following Order:

Except as provided in Article 2 to this Order no person shall use the public right of way over the Alleyway ("the Highway") described in the Schedule to this Order at any time.

The restriction in Article 1 to this Order shall not apply to any person who lives in premises adjoining the Highways or to any police, ambulance or fire service personnel acting in pursuance of statutory powers or duties or to any statutory undertaker, gas, electricity, water or communications provider requiring access to their apparatus situated in the Highways.

Barriers may be installed, operated and maintained at each end of the Highways. Private Sector Housing, Central Operations Division is responsible for maintaining and operating any barriers. Their contact telephone number is 0161 234 4904.

The alternative routes for pedestrians and vehicular traffic which are available for use during the period the Highways are restricted are the roads to the front of 3 to 45 Brideoak Street, 154 Heywood Street, 2 to 52 Bellott Street, 409 to 411 Cheetham Hill Road and the roads to the sides of 154 Heywood Street and the road to the side of 409 Cheetham Hill Road.

Alleyway to the rear of 2 to 52 Bellott Street for its full length and width. Alleyway between 24 and 22 Bellott Street for its full length and width. Alleyway between 5 and 7 Brideoak Street for its full length and width. Alleyway adjacent to 2 Bellott Street for its full length and width. Alleyway between 61 and 63 Bellott Street and continuing to the rear of 61 to 27 Bellott Street for its full length and width.
