Polruan Road and Grange Road

The Council of the City of Manchester in exercise of its power under Section 129A (1) of the Highways Act 1980 ("the Act") and of all other enabling powers being satisfied that the conditions set out in Section 129A (3) of the Act have been met hereby makes the following Order:

Except as provided in Article 2 to this Order no person shall use the public right of way over the Alleyway ("the Highway") described in the Schedule to this Order at any time.

The restriction in Article 1 to this Order shall not apply to any occupier of premises adjoining or adjacent to the Highways or to any person engaged on Council business, to police, ambulance or fire service personnel acting in pursuance of statutory powers or duties or to any statutory undertaker, gas, electricity, water or communications provider requiring access to their apparatus situated in the Highways.

Barriers will be installed, operated and maintained at the South end of the Highway marked '1' on the Plan, at the North end of the Highway marked '1' on the Plan but set inwards to a point which is level with the front of the building at 41 Kensington Road, and at the east end of each of the Highways marked '2' and '3' on the Plan. The alternative routes for pedestrians and vehicular traffic which are available for use during the period the Highways are restricted are Polruan Road, Claridge Road, Grange Road and Kensington Road.

Alleyway situated to the rear of 1-45 Grange Road and 1-17 Polruan Road, for its full length of 127 metres, and for its full width. Alleyway situated to the side of 29/31 Grange Road for its full length of 26 metres, and for its full width. Alleyway situated to the side of 15/17 Grange Road for its full length of 26 metres, and for its full width.
