Beechwood Avenue

The Council of the City of Manchester in exercise of its power under Section 129A (1) of the Highways Act 1980 ("the Act") and of all other enabling powers being satisfied that the conditions set out in Section 129A (3) of the Act have been met hereby makes the following Order:

Except as provided in Article 2 to this Order no person shall use the public right of way over the Alleyway ("the Highway") described in the Schedule to this Order at any time.

The restriction in Article 1 to this Order shall not apply to any occupier of premises adjoining or adjacent to the Highways or to any person engaged on Council business, police, ambulance or fire service personnel acting in pursuance of statutory powers or duties or to any statutory undertaker, gas, electricity, water or communications provider requiring access to their apparatus situated in the Highways.

Barriers will be installed, operated and maintained to the rear of 34 Beechwood Avenue and 35 Brookfield Avenue, to the side of 16 and 18 Beechwood Avenue, to the side of 17 and 19 Brookfield Avenue, to the side of 2 Beechwood Avenue and to the side of 1 Brookfield Avenue. The alternative route which is available for use by pedestrians during the period the Highways are restricted are the footways of Brookfield Avenue, Sandy Lane, Beechwood Avenue and the alleyway located to the side of 34 Beechwood Avenue, continuing to the side of 35 Brookfield Avenue.

Alleyway to the rear of 84 to 98 Sandy Lane with a length of 36 metres for its full width. Alleyway to the rear of 2 to 34 Beechwood Avenue with a length of 79 metres for its full width. Alleyway to the side of 17 and 19 Brookfield Avenue with a length of 17 metres for its full width. Alleyway to the side of 16 and 18 Beechwood Avenue with a length of 17 metres for its full width.
