Station Road

The Council of the City of Manchester in exercise of its power under Section 129A (1) of the Highways Act 1980 ("the Act") and of all other enabling powers being satisfied that the conditions set out in Section 129A (3) of the Act have been met hereby makes the following Order:

Except as provided in Article 2 of this Order no person shall use the public right of way over the alleyway ("the Highway") described in the Schedule to this Order at any time.

The restriction in Article 1 to this Order shall not apply to any occupier of premises adjoining or adjacent to the Highways or to any person engaged on Council business, police, ambulance or fire service personnel acting in pursuance of statutory powers or duties or to any statutory undertaker, gas, electricity, water or communications provider requiring access to their apparatus situated in the Highways.

Barriers will be installed, operated and maintained to the rear of 1 Rectory Road and at the side of 23 Rectory Road, to the rear of 43 and 45 Station Road and to the side of 34 Bennett Road and to the rear of 37 Rectory Road. The alternative route which is available for use by pedestrians during the period the Highways are restricted are the footways of Rectory Road, Bennett Road, Station Road, Seymour Road, Rectory Avenue and the alleyway at the side of 43 and 45 Station Road.

Alleyway to the rear of 23 to 37 Rectory Road with a length of 81 metres for its full width. Alleyway at the side of 23 Seymour Road and continuing to the rear of 31 to 43 Station Road with a length of 77 metres for its full width.
