    The Council of the City of Manchester in exercise of its power under Section 129A (1) of the Highways Act 1980 ("the Act") and of all other enabling powers being satisfied that the conditions set out in Section 129A (3) of the Act have been met hereby makes the following Order:

    Except as provided in Article 2 of this Order no person shall use the public right of way over the alleyway ("the Highway") described in the Schedule to this Order at any time.

    The restriction in Article 1 of this Order shall not apply to any occupier of premises adjoining or adjacent to the Highways or to any person engaged on Council business, to police, ambulance or fire service personnel acting in pursuance of statutory powers or duties or to any statutory undertaker, gas, electricity, water or communications provider requiring access to their apparatus situated in the Highways.

    Barriers will be installed, operated and maintained at the west end of the Highway marked '1' on the Plan and set 4.5 metres inward of the east end of the Highway marked '1' on the Plan, at the north end of each of the Highways marked '2', '3', '6', '7', '8',11' and '12' on the Plan, set 6 metres inward of the north end of each of the Highways marked '4' and '9' of the Plan, set 0.5 metre inward of the south end of the Highway marked '5' on the Plan, set back 6 metres of the south end of the Highway marked 1 0' on the Plan, at each end of the Highways marked '15' and '13' on the Plan and at the south end of the Highway marked '14' on the Plan .     The alternative routes for pedestrians which are available for use during the period the Highways are restricted are in respect of the Highways shown marked 1 to 11 on the Plan Moseley Road, Belvedere Road, Braemar Road and Lindleywood Road, in respect of the Highways shown as marked 12 to 14 on the Plan Brailsford Road, Belvedere Road, Braemar Road and the alleyway to the side of 98/102 Braemar Road and in respect of the Highway shown marked 15 on the Plan Brailsford Road, Lindleywood Road, Braemar Road and the alleyway to the side of 98/102 Braemar Road.

  8. Date of effect

    This Order shall take effect on 16 May 2011

  9. Alleyways to be gated

    Alleyway situated to the rear of 13-159 Braemar Road and 164-242 Moseley Road for the full length of 220 metres, and for the full width; Alleyway situated to the side of 170/172 Moseley Road for the full length of 14 metres, and for the full width; Alleyway situated to the side of 178/180 Moseley Road for the full length of 14 metres, and for the full width; Alleyway situated to the side of 186/188 Moseley Road for the full length of 14 metres, and for the full width; Alleyway situated to the side of 97/99 Braemar Road for the full length of 13 metres, and for the full width; Alleyway situated to the side of 194/196 Moseley Road for the full length of 14 metres, and for the full width; Alleyway situated to the side of 202/204 Moseley Road for the full length of 14 metres, and for the full width; Alleyway situated to the side of 210/212 Moseley Road for the full length of 14 metres, and for the full width; Alleyway situated to the side of 218/220 Moseley Road for the full length of 14 metres, and for the full width; Alleyway situated to the side of 131/133 Braemar Road for the full length of 14 metres, and for the full width; Alleyway situated to the side of 230/232 Moseley Road for the full length of 14 metres, and for the full width; Alleyway situated to the side of 126/128 Braemar Road for the full length of 15 metres, and for the full width; Alleyway situated to the rear of 112-150 Braemar Road and 129-181 Brailsford Road for the full length of 111 metres, and for the full width. Alleyway situated to the side of 155/157 Brailsford Road for the full length of 14 metres, and for the full width; Alleyway situated to the rear of 73-99 Brailsford Road and 74-98 Braemar Road for the full length of 66 metres, and for the full width.
