  1. Ward-specific objectives

    Nature and Biodiversity:

    • Improve nature and biodiversity in at least two places by summer 2025.
    • Help the community run two planting days by the end of 2025.

    Young People:

    • Give 50 young people reusable, recycled zero-carbon packs by July 2025.
    • Help one new school join the Eco-Schools programme by July 2025.

    Transport, Active Travel, Air Quality:

    • Run at least two parking action days to stop car idling and support clean air by April 2026. These will happen during Clean Air Day and Road Safety Week.
    • Run two cycling events, including Dr Bike sessions. One at a school and one at a community venue by the end of 2025.

    Things We Buy, Use and Bin:

    • Help Lakeside CIC plan a visit to the Recycling Centre and Renew Hub by the end of 2025.
    • Run at least one clothes upcycling workshop by Easter 2025.

    Food:

    • Help one primary school start a food growing project by the end of 2025.
    • Help one community venue start a food growing project by the end of 2025.

    Homes and Energy:

    • Make sure all Neighbourhood Events include energy and debt advice by April 2026.
    • Share retrofit tips and the government’s retrofit website at all events by April 2026.

    Engagement, Raising Awareness, Influencing Change:

    • Fund at least two local climate projects through the Neighbourhood Investment Fund by April 2026.
    • Support local residents to run five litter picks by April 2026.
