We are responsible for installing, maintaining and emptying litter and dog waste bins.
What you can do
Always use litter bins when you're out and about and encourage children to use them. If you can't find a litter bin, please take your rubbish home with you.
Please only place your rubbish in your bins. Check your collection arrangements. You can also take take any waste to your nearest tip.
Businesses should have their own arrangements for their waste and should not be disposing of rubbish in public bins.
We do not deal with litter bins on private land please contact the landowner directly or complete the untidy private land form.
You can use this form to
- Report a damaged or vandalised litter or dog bin.
- Report a litter or dog bin that needs emptying.
- Request a removal of a litter or dog bin – requests are reviewed on a quarterly basis (January, April, July and October).
We will empty litter/dog bins as often as is necessary, to prevent them from overflowing, for example, litter bins outside of shops are emptied daily, please report any problems to us.
