Replacement play equipment

We're making some changes to play equipment in parks across the city. We're fixing and replacing play equipment; deep cleaning and painting play areas. All these changes are intended to improve safety, quality and accessibility.

Ongoing works

Baguley Park

  • Two new swing sets
  • A new toddler hanging carousel

Chorlton Park - Toddler Park

  • A new swing set
  • A toddler multi play unit / climbing frame
  • A toddler hanging carousel

Cringle Park

  • A large multi play unit / climbing frame

Fog Lane Park

  • A new toddler slide 
  • Two new large swing sets
  • A new spring rocker 
  • A ground trampoline
  • A new roundabout
  • A multi-play unit / climbing frame
  • Two new communication panels 

Hollyhedge Park

  • An inclusive accessible roundabout

Kirkup Gardens

  • 2 new swing sets
  • An inclusive toddler multi-play unit / climbing frame
  • A toddler hanging carousel

Southwick Park

  • Two new swing sets
  • An inclusive accessible roundabout

Completed works

Cringle Park  

Cringle Park received two new swing sets: a nest swing seat and a ‘you and me’ swing seat.

A roundabout for all ages was also introduced and there were safety improvements around the play equipment pieces and improvement to the safety surfacing. 

Crumpsall Park  

Crumpsall Park received new swing sets with nest swing seat, flat seats and a ‘you and me’ swing seat.

Also, a new multi play unit was introduced and improvement was made to the safety surfacing.

David Lewis Recreation Ground  

David Lewis Recreation Ground received new swing sets in place of previous ones with both nest and ‘you and me’ seats.

A roundabout for all ages was also introduced and the multicoloured play carpet was replaced.

Hollyhedge  

Hollyhedge Park received new swing set with nest seat and a roundabout for all ages as well as improvement to the safety surfacing.

Old Moat Park  

Old Moat Park received new swing sets in place of previous ones such as double bays swing sets with both flat and ‘you and me’ seats.

There was also a roundabout for all ages and improvement to the multicoloured safety surfacing.

Plant Hill Park 

Plant Hill Park received new swing sets with nest swing seats and ‘you and me’ seats as well as improvements to the safety surfacing.
