Replacement play equipment
Over the coming months, we're going to make changes to play equipment in some of our parks across the city. We'll use our funding to fix or replace older pieces of play equipment.
We want our play areas to be accessible and inclusive so everyone can enjoy them.
We’re also replacing safety surfacing and doing deep cleaning and painting where it’s needed. All these changes are intended to improve safety, quality and accessibility.
Parks receiving new and improved facilities include:
Cringle Park
Cringle Park will receive two new swing sets: a nest swing seat and a ‘you and me’ swing seat.
A roundabout for all ages will also be introduced and there will be safety improvements around the play equipment pieces and improvement to the safety surfacing.
Crumpsall Park
Crumpsall Park will receive new swing sets with nest swing seat, flat seats and a ‘you and me’ swing seat.
Also, a new multi play unit will be introduced and improvement will be made to the safety surfacing.
