This Work and Skills Strategy is part of our plan to make sure that all of Manchester’s residents benefit from this growth and are fairly recognised for the contributions they make. It will help us create an economy which is fairer and more inclusive by connecting people to the opportunities created here regardless of their backgrounds or circumstances.
The Strategy is built on our ambition to create a more sustainable, inclusive and diverse economy that benefits everyone. This will be delivered across the five Our Manchester themes of Thriving and Sustainable, Highly Skilled, Progressive and Equitable, Liveable and Zero Carbon, and Connected.
Working in partnership across the city we will support accessible, fair and good opportunities for residents to learn the skills they need to achieve their ambitions while ensuring that business and other organisations have access to the talent that they need to be successful.
