Reporting suspected unauthorised building works

If you suspect that someone has been - or is still - carrying out unauthorised building works, you can report them to us to investigate.

Any reports made to our Compliance Officers are dealt with on a confidential basis, and are taken seriously: we will try to keep you updated.

Reporting a breach

You can tell us about any unauthorised (or suspected) works by emailing buildingcontrol.enforcement@manchester.gov.uk, giving a description of the works, the address of the property concerned and your contact details. You can include any photographs if you have any.
