New Smithfield Market is the largest wholesale market in the North West of England occupying a 35 acre site just 2.5 miles from Manchester city centre.

Opening times

New Smithfield Market is generally open to the public and trade, Monday to Saturday from 2am to 12.30pm (closed Bank Holiday Monday), but this is subject to individual trader and seasonal variations.  The market will be open on Sunday 23 December 2018 from 2am to 12.30pm.  Contact individual traders directly for confirmation of their opening times.

Sunday Market & Car Boot opens most Sundays at 5am to traders (trading spaces are allocated from 6am onwards), and from 7am to 2pm to the public (the last public entry is at 1.30pm).  The Sunday Market & Car Boot is closed on Sunday 23 December 2018.
