Markets Selling on the car boot

Car boots run every Sunday at New Smithfield Market.

Spaces are limited and allocated from 3.30am on a first come, first served basis. You don't need to book in advance. The gates, situated on Whitworth Street East off Ashton Old Road, open at 3am. You can trade from 7am up until 2pm. Space fees must be paid on demand by debit or credit card. We do not take cash or cheque.

The Car Boot is for householders wishing to sell their unwanted personal goods. If you are a trader selling second-hand goods or you want to sell new products you must do this from the general Sunday Market.

There are some things that you cannot sell on any of our markets. The sale of tobacco, nicotine, or anything related to tobacco or nicotine including e-cigs and vapes is prohibited on the Sunday Market and Car Boot.  You must be at least 18 years old and comply with our service standards to trade on our markets.
