Skateboarding in parks
Many of our parks are now fitted with skateboarding facilities. They have well built pipes, banks, hips and grind rails and incorporate excellent transitions, and include elements that are unique to Manchester, with the added benefit of complementing each other, achieving a different experience at each site.
We are committed to encouraging young people to exercise and engage in activities through provision of sports they enjoy, based in a safe and secure environment.
All sites meet the European PAS35 standards, and the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (ROSPA) has been involved from the outset to ensure that these standards were achieved.
