How we spend this budget
Adult services support those who need help – from young adulthood through to later life. We assess people to decide what services will meet their needs.
We offer a range of services from advice and guidance through to short-term support and many other services that we commission from other providers.
This budget supports many people’s social care needs. It makes sure they are safe and well, funds residential and nursing care, care at home, equipment and adaptations and support to live independently.
This budget also funds safeguarding vulnerable people and support for carers.
