How we spend this budget

This budget funds Manchester Adult Education Service and our Work and Skills services, supporting Manchester people to get the skills and confidence to contribute to and benefit from their city’s growing economic success.

We use this budget to drive economic growth for everyone’s benefit by securing new commercial and residential development, attracting inward investment, and generating employment.

We work with residents and businesses to connect them to new opportunities and support them to thrive.

We are supporting Victoria North – Manchester’s biggest ever regeneration programme as well as the Eastern Gateway and city centre growth.

We use this budget to develop our housing strategy and run Planning, Building Control and Licensing, and to look after the Council’s land and buildings.

This budget also funds our digital strategy and parts of our highways and parking services.
