Parks, leisure and the arts Smedley Dip and Hendham Vale

This tranquil green corridor links through the Irk River Valley, taking you from the edge of Collyhurst to the heart of Harpurhey.

One of our first environmental landscaping developments, these sites include riverside walks, amenity grass, open meadow grassland and mixed woodland with the odd Fig tree left, as a remnant of the industrial revolution. The make up of this habitat ensures that visiting wildlife is really varied.
