Who can register
You can register to vote if you are:
- 16 or older (although you can't vote until you are 18)
- living at an address in the Manchester City Council area
- a British citizen; or
- an Irish, qualifying Commonwealth, or a qualifying European Citizen or an EU Citizen with retained rights living in the UK.
The elections you can vote in
If you're 18 and over and a UK or Irish citizen, or a qualifying Commonwealth citizen living in the UK, you can vote in all elections. This includes:

UK Parliament, general elections and by-elections

Local council elections and by-elections

Police and crime commissioner elections

Mayoral elections.
If you're 18 and over and an qualifying EU citizen or EU citizen with retained rights, you can only vote in:
