Public consultations

Parliament have undertaken public consultations on the HS2 Phase 2b Environmental Statement and Equality Impact Assessment, which both closed on 31 March 2022.

The Environmental Statement includes details on the impact HS2 will have on the local area and the mitigation measures HS2 Ltd are proposing to put in place. The Equality Impact Assessment reports on how the planned new railway could have a different impact on people with protected characteristics like disability or gender. The Council reviewed both documents and responded.
