Hulme Park

Christmas Lights Switch On - 3:45pm. Activities between 4pm and 6pm

A packed afternoon with fun for all the family in Hulme.

The Christmas lights switch on takes place in Hulme Park, followed by disco, refreshments, story time, and crafts across the road at Z Arts.

Plus, meet Mr. Claus himself at The Ascension just around the corner.

Central Library, City Centre

Christmas Retro Silent Disco - 8pm to 12am. Tickets: £10.

The ever-popular silent disco returns to kick-off a season of events at the Central Library. DJ John Ryan will be spinning classics from the 70s, 80s, and 90s, along with a few festive hits to make your night sparkle. The party goes on till midnight with a bar open all night. Christmas jumpers and party gear are highly recommended.

3 December

Didsbury

Christmas on Burton Road - 12pm to 6pm

Residents and local businesses will come together to kick off festivities with a light switch on, live music, choirs, and family activities.

There will be collections for Didsbury and Chorlton Food Bank and Warm Bank.

Moss Side Powerhouse

Christmas Lights Switch On - 1pm to 5pm. Switch on begins 4.30pm

There will be a range of family activities including refreshments, music, information stalls, arts and crafts a bouncy castle and a visit from Santa.

There will be a variety of stalls manned by local traders offering a combination of items including, fashion, gifts, trinkets and even Bury Councilor Quinn will be there with his beautiful upcycled bird boxes.

For the kids, there will be festive films under the Hayloft in the courtyard, the whole family can relax in the bean bags in the cosy Hayloft its free - just bring your own popcorn!

Central Library, City Centre

Sunday Winter Warmer - 12pm to 4pm.

The Central Library will be open to all families for a special Sunday afternoon of fun. Come in from the cold and enjoy a free arts and crafts workshop, entertainment, and treats.

Melanin Markets will be taking over 3 floors of the Contact Theatre with a wondrous celebration of Black-owned businesses this holiday.
