Any company who wants to put a skip on the highway within Manchester City Council Boundary must register with us first annually.

Notify us of any changes - to your details including if your waste carrier licence or public liability insurance expires during this period, you will need upload new policy details

Terms and conditions and maps of exclusion zones

• Public liability insurance (minimum cover £10,000,000 (ten million pounds); and
• Waste carrier licence.

Applications should include Evidence of valid 'Public Liability' Insurance (not less than £10 million) and a scale plan of the site showing the position of the structure/obstruction on the highway/road. Both of these documents can be emailed to highwaylicences@manchester.gov.uk.
