Private hire operator - non standard

  1. Summary

    To operate private hire vehicles in Manchester, you must hold a private hire operator licence.

    A non standard licence is granted to operator of stretched limousines, chauffeur driven vehicles, park and ride for private car parks, airport travel and 'novelty' vehicles which carry a maximum of 8 passengers.

    A statutory declaration for each applicant, a basic disclosure  (if a limited company a these are needed for each director and company secretary); a recent colour passport photograph (no sunglasses or hat) with your full name and date of birth on the reverse (for each person on the application); If a partnership or limited company full details of all key persons must be provided; A copy of planning permission for the base address; fare tariff; passport (these will need to be scanned in  person as well at an appointment to be arranged once we have received everything we need); a right to work share code if you do not have a UK passport; National insurance number on an official document for each applicant; a tax check code for each applicant; and business plan.
