Crumpsall

  1. Ward-specific objectives

    Place and Infrastructure

    • Run at least two Dr. Bike sessions in the community by December 2026. These sessions will help people check and fix their bikes. They will also help people feel safer and more confident when cycling.
    • Invite Groundworks energy advice teams to attend two community events by December 2026. Aim to engage at least 50 residents at each event.
    • Organise two Active Streets road‑closure events by March 2027. These events will create safe spaces for walking, cycling, and play. They will help people see how streets can be used differently.

    Green and Circular Economy

    • Support three community litter picking events by December 2026.
    • Invite the Biffa engagement team to attend all community events, including Active Streets. We will also organise one Biffa‑led assembly at a primary school in the ward by March 2027. The assembly will focus on waste, recycling, and reuse.
    • Fund the installation of two compost bins at community venues with Your Neighbourhood Fund or other grant by March 2027. The compost bins will help reduce food waste and support local growing.

    People and Communities

    • We will run two activity events with young people by March 2027. These events will promote the Crumpsall Green Walking Route map. They will help young people learn about healthy walking routes and local green spaces.
    • Fund at least two climate action projects by March 2027 using the Your Neighbourhood Fund or other funding. At least one project will be led by a new group. This will help grow local action and bring in new voices.
    • Work with Groundwork to deliver at least one bird or bat box‑building session at a local primary school by March 2027. This will help children learn about wildlife and caring for nature.
