    Support available at Back on Track

    Back on Track offers short courses and work‑focused support to help people build skills and move towards employment or volunteering.

    Courses are practical and supportive, with clear next steps.


    Courses on offer

    We run a range of courses, including:

    • skills for work
    • introduction to volunteering, including placement options
    • catering and hospitality training
    • working in health and social care
    • working in the green sector

    Courses often include:

    • input from local employers
    • opportunities to gain work experience

    Courses change throughout the year.

    Getting started

    You need to enrol with us before starting a course.

    The easiest way to learn about your options is to attend a welcome session.

    Welcome sessions

    • Every Tuesday
    • 1.30pm
    • No need to book — just turn up

    At the session, staff will explain the support available and next steps.


    Who Back on Track supports

    We work with people who may be facing barriers to work or learning.

    This includes people with experience of:

    • the criminal justice system
    • homelessness
    • substance misuse
    • mental health challenges

    Support is practical, flexible, and tailored to individual needs.


    When support is available

    Building opening times

    • Tuesday to Friday
    • 9.15am to 4.30pm

    Work Club sessions

    • Sessions run on various days
    • 9.45am to 12.45pm or 1.15pm to 4.15pm

    Days can change, so please call ahead to check.

    You must be enrolled before joining Work Club sessions.
