The Mancunian Way will close for essential maintenance.
This work includes:
- safety checks
- inspections
- repairs
When the road is closed
- Start: 6am, Saturday 27 June 2026
- End: 6am, Monday 29 June 2026
The closure will last all weekend.
What’s affected
- the main road (carriageway)
- all slip roads
Closures are in place in both directions.
Diversions
A signed diversion route will be in place. Please follow the road signs.
Diversion routes include:
- Trinity Way
- Great Ancoats Street
- Bridgewater Viaduct
- Whitworth Street West
- Whitworth Street
- Fairfield Street
