Making Travel in Manchester better for everyone
Manchester wants to be a cleaner, greener, and easier place to get around. We’re working on ways to help people travel that are better for the environment and more affordable to use.
Public Transport: We’re making buses, trams, and trains better. They’ll be easier to use, kinder to the environment, and be more reliable.
Active Travel: We’re building more safe paths and bike lanes so people can walk and cycle more. It’s healthy and helps keep roads less busy.
Electric Vehicles: We’re creating more places around the city where electric vehicles can charge. This helps make the switch to an EV easier.
Manchester Car Club: We're helping residents reduce their need for privately owned vehicles through access to shared cars and van across the city. A shared car when you need one, without the cost and responsibility of owning your own vehicle.
All these changes help make the air cleaner, lower carbon pollution, and make Manchester a nicer place to live. You can help by choosing ways to travel that are better for the planet
