  1. Nomination papers are to be delivered to the Returning Officer in the Performance Space, Manchester Central Library, St Peter’s Square, Manchester, M2 5PD on any day after the date of this notice, Monday to Friday (excluding bank and public holidays) between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm, and by no later than 4:00 pm on Thursday 9 April 2026. Nomination papers may be obtained from that place during the times stated above.
  2. If any election is contested, the poll will take place on Thursday 7 May 2026.
  3. Applications to be included in the register of electors must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 12 midnight on Monday 20 April 2026, if they are to be effective for the election. Applications may be made via the online registration service at https://www.gov.uk/register-to-vote or sent directly to the Electoral Registration Officer at the Electoral Services Unit, Town Hall Extension, Manchester, M60 2LA.
  4. Applications for a Voter Authority Certificate or an Anonymous Elector’s Document valid for this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 5:00 pm on Tuesday 28 April 2026. Applications can be made online at https://www.gov.uk/apply-for-photo-id-voter-authority-certificate
  5. All applications and notices in respect of postal voting, and those in respect of changes to (including cancellation of) existing proxy voting arrangements, must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 5:00 pm on Tuesday 21 April 2026.
  6. All new applications to vote by proxy (except those applied for on relevant emergency grounds) must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 5:00 pm on Tuesday 28 April 2026.
  7. Applications to vote by proxy on relevant emergency grounds must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 5:00 pm on Thursday 7 May 2026.
