Homes and property Information on Manchester City Council tower blocks

Following the tragic event at Grenfell in London, we have been working with landlords and others to provide information and reassurance to people living in high-rise tower blocks – buildings over six storeys.

We believe it is in the public interest to publish information on the 36 residential buildings over 6 storeys high we own and have created a directory of information.

Cladding

None of the tower blocks is clad in the same material used on Grenfell Tower. Materials used on Manchester blocks are yet to be tested, as the Government have prioritised testing on materials which are similar to that used on Grenfell Tower.

Fire Risk Assessments

The directory includes Fire Risk assessments, or links to Fire Risk assessments, carried out during the past 2 years.

The assessments are very detailed, so if you live in a high-rise tower block and have any questions about the Fire Risk Assessments or are concerned about your building, please contact your housing provider:
