Key education statistics

The way in which GCSE exams are graded is changing, starting with English and Maths in 2017. The new GCSEs will have a new grading scale from 9 (the  highest) to 1, which replace the old A* to G grades. The Department for Education have produced two GCSE grading factsheets which explain the changes in more detail.
