National Youth Advocacy Service

The National Youth Advocacy Service (NYAS) works with Children and Young People who are receiving services from children’s Social Care.  Our Advocates help to make sure that the voices of children and young people are heard when professionals make decisions about them or if they want something ‘Stop, Started or Changed’.

If you're a young person and would like more information about NYAS, or want to get involved, visit the NYAS young people’s website at youngpeople.nyas.net or download the NYAS app to your mobile.

NYAS also recruit and train volunteers across Manchester to become Independent Visitors. You can find out more about becoming an Independent Visitor at www.nyas.net/services/independent-visitors/

If you or someone you know may want support from an Advocate or an Independent Visitor you can call NYAS helpline on 0808 808 1001 or visit the website at www.nyas.net.
