Planning and regeneration Economy and Employment Space Study

The City Council has prepared an Economy and Employment Space Study to inform the preparation of the Core Strategy.

This study has: -

  • Examined the economic context of the City in terms of its role in the City, City-region and North West.
  • Identified the current supply of employment land within the City and the level and location of employment demand expected during the lifetime of the Core Strategy.
  • Informed the level of offices, general industry and warehousing/distribution proposed within the Core Strategy.
  • Informed the identification of the Strategic Employment Locations.
