Snap your EUREKA! moments for prizes!

The Manchester Day photography prize is one of the most contested competitions of the year and the decision to choose the top picture is hotly debated by the judges.

With countless moments to inspire the imagination throughout the day, Manchester Day is a feast for the eyes, so get snapping and be in with a chance to win the top prize – a new iPad.

Second prize will be a night’s stay at the exclusive King Street Townhouse Hotel, and third prize is a meal for two at Grill on the Alley.

The winning photo should capture the size, vibrancy, colour and movement of the parade against the backdrop of Manchester City Centre and the huge crowds that will line the streets.

Each of the prize winners and a selection of the best of the rest will be showcased on the Manchester Day website.

Cllr Pat Karney, Chair of Manchester Day, said: “Manchester Day is a photographer’s dream event. We have huge crowds, incredible sights, huge amounts of colour – the makings of the perfect picture. And we want to see the celebration from your point of view.

“In the past the photo competition has been a close fought competition with some of the best images of the day coming directly from the audience. We have some great prizes on offer, so pick up that camera and submit your best.”

Closing date for the competition is 3 July.
