Support for victims and witnesses of ASB
If you are affected by ASB, help is available.
Whether you are a victim or a witness, we will support you when you report antisocial behaviour to us.
How we will support you
We understand that reporting ASB can be difficult. When you report antisocial behaviour, we will:
- provide you with a named officer
- listen to your concerns
- put your safety first
- discuss any support you may need
- help protect vulnerable people from harm
- explain what action can be taken
- investigate your reports and ask that you continue to report any further incidents
- keep you updated on the progress of your report
- refer you to other support services if needed.
Getting the right help
The organisation that investigates your report will support you throughout the process.
In some cases, another organisation may be better placed to deal with the problem. If this happens, we will explain why and help direct you to the right service.

Support for children and young people
Children and young people can be affected by ASB too.
We know some young people worry that:
- they will not be believed
- they will not be taken seriously
- there may be consequences for reporting someone.
We will take their concerns seriously and work to resolve the problem while helping to keep them safe.
Young people may find it helpful to speak to a trusted adult, who can help them make a report and get support.
We work with Remedi, a specialist organisation that supports children and young people.
Remedi helps:
- understand the impact of ASB and crime on others
- make safer choices
- avoid becoming involved in ASB or offending behaviour.
Visit the Remedi website to learn more about their services.
