Gorton Library sits within Gorton Hub, the purpose built new learning, health and community hub on Hyde Road that opened in November 2022.
Gorton Library offers a modern and attractive designed interior, with a space-themed children’s library. That’s important because we know that being read to as a child gives you a head-start at school and a flying start in life. There's an strong emphasis on local history connecting Gorton with its past. We are a warm space and offer a weekly coffee morning for everyone. We offer free Internet and Free Wi-Fi, as well as an IT room for you to receive basic IT training.Opening times for library

Come and have a cup of tea and a chat at our popular and friendly coffee morning. Thursday mornings at 10am until midday

Story time for under 5s runs weekly during term time only. Thursday mornings 10:30 am – 11:30 am
