Social services What young people say about fostering

Jessica

Going into a foster family isn’t easy. You’re taken away from your family and the life you’re used to living, taking you completely out of your comfort zone. However, it does get easier. You become part of a new family and once you get used to your surroundings, it becomes home. For me, being in a foster family is no different to any other family. You’re treated exactly the same, being nurtured and loved as you would be by your normal parents.
