Events

If you want to chat about becoming a foster carer or are ready to apply, talking to the team will help. Come and meet the support team at one of our drop-in events: it’s a chance for you and your family to find out more about fostering and what it really involves day-to-day. We will answer your questions honestly, and you can discuss your situation.

Our Fostering team hold regular Information evenings

Come along to one of our free Information evenings and meet local foster carers and our fostering team. You can find out more about fostering local children and young people, and the different types of fostering that are available to you.

  • 27 January 2026:   Wythenshawe Forum,  Forum Square, Manchester M22 5RX. 5pm until 6.30pm
  • 12 February 2026: The Avenue Library, Blackley. 9 Victoria Ave, Manchester M9 6HW. 5pm until 6.30pm 
  • 25 February 2026:  Withington Library, 410 Wilmslow Rd, Manchester M20 3BD. 5pm until 6.30pm 
  • 9 March 2026: Newton Heath Library, 2 Old Church St, Manchester M40 2JF. 5pm until 6.30pm 
  • 24 March 2026:  Gorton Hub Library,27 Garratt Way, Manchester M18 8HE. 5pm until 6.30pm
