Schools, education & childcare Short breaks for carers of disabled children

A short break can range from an activity which lasts one or two hours, or a few days away from home. It includes day, evening, overnight, weekend and holiday activities. These activities provide a positive experience for the child as well as giving parents and carers a break from their caring duties.

We have a range of short breaks including sports, art, drama, playschemes, befriending and sitting in your own home.

There are breaks suitable for all ages and a range of disabilities. The Specialist Resource team can advise you on short breaks that meet the needs of your family. Call 0161 219 2125 for more information or visit Help and Support Manchester.
