The Council and democracy Albert Square

Trees

The plans for Albert Square include a number of new trees. Four of the existing large plane trees (Platanus acerifolia) will also be kept.

In February 2024 we completed the first phase of the Albert Square planting. Find out more about it in our New trees as Albert Square improvements take root press release. A series of photographs is included in this album on flickr.com.
